Interview with the Vampire is an American gothic horror television series created by Rolin Jones for AMC, based primarily on the 1976 novel of the same name by Anne Rice. The series stars Jacob Anderson as Louis de Pointe du Lac, Sam Reid as the vampire Lestat de Lioncourt, Assad Zaman as Armand, Bailey Bass (season 1) and Delainey Hayles (season 2) as Claudia, and Eric Bogosian as Daniel Molloy.

Set across multiple centuries, the series follows Louis as he recounts the true story of his immortal life to journalist Daniel Molloy. His memories revisit his passionate and destructive relationship with Lestat, the creation of Claudia, and the tragic events that eventually lead them across Europe in search of other vampires. The series is the first television installment in the Immortal Universe, adapting the works of Anne Rice.

As of July 2026, Interview with the Vampire has aired three seasons.

Season 1 (2022): Adapts the opening portion of Anne Rice's novel, chronicling Louis's transformation into a vampire, his tumultuous romance with Lestat, and the creation of Claudia.

Season 2 (2024): Follows Louis and Claudia's journey across Europe, their arrival in Paris, the Théâtre des Vampires, the introduction of Armand, and the tragic fate of Claudia.

Season 3 (2026): Premiered on June 7, 2026, the third season, titled The Vampire Lestat, shifts the narrative focus from Louis de Pointe du Lac to Lestat de Lioncourt and adapts major elements of Anne Rice's second novel, The Vampire Lestat. After re-emerging into the modern world, Lestat embraces fame as a flamboyant rock star, using music to publicly challenge vampire secrecy while recounting his centuries-long past, origins, and rise to immortality. His actions draw the attention of both humans and ancient vampires, setting the stage for the events of Season 4, which will adapt The Queen of the Damned. The season premiered on AMC and AMC+ in the United States. As of mid-2026, Seasons 1 and 2 are available on streaming platforms such as Prime Video and Netflix in selected regions, while Season 3 had not yet been released on those services in many international markets.

Plot (SEASON 1-2)

In present-day Dubai, centuries-old vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac grants veteran journalist Daniel Molloy a second interview, determined to reveal the complete and unfiltered truth about his life after believing that their first conversation decades earlier failed to capture what really happened.

Louis recounts his early life in New Orleans in 1910, where he manages his family's prosperous but morally complicated business while struggling with his identity and the expectations placed upon him. His life changes forever when he encounters the charismatic and enigmatic French vampire Lestat de Lioncourt, who becomes fascinated by him. Lestat seduces Louis emotionally and intellectually before ultimately turning him into a vampire.

Immortality initially appears intoxicating, but Louis soon finds himself trapped in an increasingly toxic and violent relationship with Lestat. While Lestat embraces predatory instincts and revels in power, Louis desperately tries to preserve his humanity by refusing to hunt humans whenever possible. Their conflicting philosophies create years of emotional manipulation, jealousy, passion, and brutality.

Their relationship changes dramatically when they transform a dying young girl, Claudia, into a vampire after a devastating tragedy. Although she is physically frozen as a child, Claudia's mind continues to mature, leaving her imprisoned in a body that can never grow older. Over the decades she becomes increasingly resentful of Lestat, blaming him for stealing her future and denying her a normal life.

As Claudia seeks independence, tensions within their dysfunctional family escalate. She ultimately conspires with Louis to eliminate Lestat, believing his death is the only way they can escape his control. After poisoning and attacking him, they flee New Orleans under the assumption that Lestat has finally been destroyed.

Searching for others of their kind, Louis and Claudia travel across war-torn Europe before arriving in Paris, where they discover the legendary Théâtre des Vampires, a theater secretly operated by real vampires who disguise their killings as stage performances. There they encounter Armand, the mysterious and ancient leader of the coven, who develops a deep connection with Louis.

Claudia quickly realizes that the Parisian vampires are governed by rigid laws and ancient traditions. Her existence as a child vampire violates these rules, and suspicion toward Louis and Claudia steadily grows. Hidden betrayals, rivalries, and conflicting loyalties culminate in catastrophe when the coven condemns them. Claudia is executed, leaving Louis emotionally shattered.

Consumed by grief and rage, Louis unleashes a devastating act of revenge against the Paris coven. Although Armand survives, the destruction permanently alters their relationship. The two eventually remain together for decades, but the interview gradually exposes that Armand has manipulated Louis's memories and concealed crucial truths about Claudia's fate, Lestat's survival, and the events in Paris.

As Daniel presses for answers in the present, Louis begins questioning whether his own memories can be trusted. Long-buried secrets emerge, revealing that every major relationship in his immortal existence has been shaped by love, obsession, guilt, betrayal, and the unreliable nature of memory. The interview evolves from a simple autobiography into a confrontation with the past, forcing Louis, Armand, and eventually Lestat to face the consequences of choices made across centuries.

Rate: 10 Stars - The series is fascinating. The richness of detail in Claudia's diary makes her story feel authentic and difficult to dispute. This universe is ultimately about survival—becoming a vampire does not guarantee a life of wealth, power, or safety. Even immortality comes at a terrible cost. Under Louis' influence, however, they were able to build a meaningful life together, despite the tragedies they endured. And, despite everything that happened between them, Lestat remained Louis' one true love.

The vampires in Interview with the Vampire live an unhappy existence because they see themselves as the living dead, burdened by guilt and convinced that every person they feed on dies. Over the centuries, the weight of taking lives forces them to question the choice they made and the true cost of immortality.

But if their victims are merely left severely drained of blood rather than actually dead, it changes the entire perspective of the story. Instead of carrying the burden of countless deaths, they would still be compelled to value every human life and avoid killing deliberately.

The healing power appears to come from the blood itself. When vampires are injured, they recover not because they are truly dead, but because the supernatural blood flowing through them possesses extraordinary regenerative properties. From this perspective, their immortality is sustained by the power of the blood rather than by death itself.

Even so, despite all the suffering and moral conflict, Louis ultimately thanks Lestat for giving him the Dark Gift—a sign that, despite everything, he still sees immortality as a gift rather than a curse.

There is still the question of judgment. I cannot say with certainty whether that judgment takes place while they are still living or only after true death. That uncertainty leaves room for interpretation and raises deeper questions about morality, accountability, and the consequences of their choices.

Greenland 2: Migration, Amazon Prime

 Greenland 2: Migration is a 2026 American post-apocalyptic disaster film directed by Ric Roman Waugh and written by Mitchell LaFortune and Chris Sparling. It serves as the sequel to Greenland (2020), with Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin reprising their roles. The film also stars Roman Griffin Davis, Amber Rose Revah, Gordon Alexander, Peter Polycarpou, William Abadie, and Tommie Earl Jenkins. Produced by Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Sébastien Raybaud, John Zois, Gerard Butler, Alan Siegel, Ric Roman Waugh, and Brendon Boyea, the film was released by Lionsgate on January 9, 2026. It had a production budget of US$90 million and grossed approximately US$44.8 million worldwide.

Plot

Five years after the catastrophic impact of the Clarke comet, the Garrity family continues living in an underground bunker near Thule Air Base in Greenland (Iceland). Although humanity survived extinction, Earth's surface remains devastated by earthquakes, electromagnetic storms, radiation, and rising sea levels. John Garrity works as an engineer and explorer for the underground settlement, while Allison serves on the community's leadership council. Nathan, now a teenager, hopes to join the scouting teams that venture onto the surface. 

The fragile stability of the bunker comes to an end when a series of massive earthquakes causes the underground complex to collapse. Moments later, a gigantic tsunami destroys the facility, killing thousands of survivors. John, Allison, Nathan, Dr. Casey Amina, and a small group escape aboard emergency boats and eventually reach the flooded city of Liverpool, England. 

In the ruins of Europe, civilization has fragmented into isolated settlements, armed militias, and desperate bands of survivors competing for dwindling resources. The Garritys narrowly escape several deadly encounters while searching for another safe refuge. During their journey, they hear rumors of an extraordinary region in southern France, located near the massive Clarke impact crater, where breathable air, clean water, and vegetation have begun to return. 

Traveling across devastated England and continental Europe, the group faces violent storms, collapsing infrastructure, military conflicts, and ruthless scavengers. They receive temporary shelter from isolated survivors before continuing south alongside a military convoy determined to reach the rumored sanctuary. 

As they approach the enormous impact crater, the convoy is ambushed, forcing the survivors into a final battle. John leads his family through the chaos until they finally reach the crater itself. To their amazement, the impact zone has become one of the few places on Earth capable of sustaining life, containing breathable air, fresh water, and rapidly recovering vegetation. 

John sacrifices himself to ensure Allison, Nathan, and the remaining survivors safely enter the protected valley. His death allows the others to escape the final assault and establish themselves inside the crater. The film concludes with Allison and Nathan helping found a new human settlement, offering hope that civilization can eventually be rebuilt from humanity's last sanctuary.
