Outlast, Surviving in Alaska Autumn-Winter, March 2023

Outlast is an American survival reality competition series. All eight episodes of the first season premiered on March 10, 2023, on Netflix. It is produced by Aggregate Films and Nomad Entertainment, with Mike Odair serving as the showrunner, and Jason Bateman, Grant Kahler, Michael Costigan, Emma Ho, and Odair serving as executive producers.

The series places 16 players, split into four teams, in the Alaskan wilderness, where they must survive off the land with meager supplies. The players, described as "lone wolf" survivalists, must work in teams and are not allowed to play the game by their own. Players can leave the game by firing a flare gun, and the last team remaining wins one million dollars.

Understand human behaviour in difficult conditions of Surviving is always interesting. Can you imagine in Alaska? It is almost a death sentence to go in the autumn, about to enter the winter and they knew it. It's scary. Americans are this way, since "The Walking Dead" i saw that they become very much insensible, and it not just them, they have a big heart, but, when the subject is surviving, the environment get hostile. Was nice to see that in some groups they defended and protected each other, this is important if not, even deaths can occur. They were really patient with Jill, if was me, i would leave her to die there in her ambition. So yeah, it's really interesting, you should watch.

Resume:

They were invited to a survival game in Alaska, with the possibility to win 1.000.000 dollars (I don't believe it, but anyway). The series catch your attention because of the place, like Alaska, with low temperatures and unexplored area. We only can imagine how cold this place could be? Can people breath? How is to live in Alaska in the Autumn and Winter? What information can they possible learn about the environment? What kind of Animal species they will find there?
Of what kind of food they can be feeded?
What kind of humans will gonna play survival? How long until they become violent?

The harsh weather conditions accelerated the emotional and physical condition of the participants, so they didn't want to extend until the winter.

Not only in the Autumn, but in the Winter, places like Alaska also has wild fruits, like Blueberries and the Pines. They didn't explore other trees but they concentrated only in the mussels, so the expectator will feel that they should have explored more the vegetation. if adventured more, but they preferred to save energy because they weren't eating So well.

In Alaska, the low Tide starts early in the morning and at 12:48 starts the High Tide. They were in the Neka river region, it's classified as rain forest

Alaska was better until the fall, when the winter came they were exhausted and unmotivated to continue.

Jill made things difficult. She was playing "Out of law". No rules. Two remarkable things she did was to steal the sleep bags of her opponent and force two participants to leave (press the trigger of the pistol) after their team were disintegrated. The most ironic to Jill was in the end, when her team also remained with only two people, and in this condition she didn't pressed the trigger of the pistol to leave, instead.

Even in minority against the other group, she persisted. The game organizators decided to end the game giving them a challenge, to achieve the other side of the island and take the gear and a letter. The men won, leaving in the helicopter while looking down Jill and Amber. The broadcast didn't show they taking the Amber and Jill, where them left behind to die in Alaska?
