PLOT

Eddie Brock is a journalist known for confronting powerful figures and exposing controversial practices. While investigating the Life Foundation, a corporation led by businessman and scientist Carlton Drake, Eddie discovers that the organization is conducting experiments involving extraterrestrial organisms recovered from a space mission. The experiments seek to determine whether the creatures, known as symbiotes, can establish bonds with human hosts, but the tests repeatedly result in the deaths of the subjects.

Eddie's investigation brings him into direct conflict with Drake and ultimately destroys both his career and his relationship with Anne Weying. Later, with the help of a Life Foundation employee, Eddie infiltrates the company's facilities and witnesses the experiments being conducted on human hosts. During his escape, he becomes unwillingly bonded with one of the symbiotes, an organism that begins sharing his body and consciousness.

The symbiote introduces itself to Eddie as Venom. At first, their relationship is defined by conflict between Eddie's human personality and the creature's predatory instincts. Their coexistence gradually develops into an unlikely partnership, however, as Venom gives Eddie extraordinary physical abilities and reveals information about the other symbiotes and their arrival on Earth.

Meanwhile, the symbiote known as Riot bonds with Carlton Drake and proves to be far more powerful and ambitious than Venom. Its objective is to return to space and enable other symbiotes to reach Earth, potentially placing humanity at risk of extinction. Eddie and Venom confront Riot in a battle that culminates in the destruction of the spacecraft and Riot's death.

Following Riot's defeat, Eddie and Venom decide to remain together and begin acting as a kind of vigilante protector. Their relationship remains marked by conflict, but also by growing loyalty and mutual dependence. At the end of the film, Eddie interviews convicted serial killer Cletus Kasady, who delivers an ominous warning about the future, setting the stage for Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage is the sequel to Venom, directed by Andy Serkis and once again starring Tom Hardy. PLOT

Eddie lives with Venom while attempting to rebuild his career as a journalist. His attention turns to Cletus Kasady, a criminal responsible for numerous murders who is awaiting execution. During an interview, Eddie manages to uncover information that helps investigators understand part of Kasady's history. However, their encounter has an unexpected consequence: a fragment of Venom passes into Cletus.

When Cletus undergoes execution, the extraterrestrial organism awakens within him and becomes Carnage, a far more aggressive and destructive symbiote than Venom. Cletus and Carnage escape and begin acting together, while Cletus seeks out his former lover, Frances Barrison, known as Shriek, a woman whose sonic abilities can affect symbiotes.
As the new threat grows stronger, Eddie and Venom struggle with their own relationship. Their coexistence becomes increasingly difficult, as Venom desires greater freedom while Eddie attempts to maintain something resembling an ordinary human life. Their temporary separation, however, reveals how deeply dependent the two have become on one another.

Carnage and Cletus eventually turn their attention toward Eddie, leading the confrontation to a cathedral. During the ensuing battle, Shriek's sonic abilities interfere with the symbiotes and alter the balance between the opposing forces. Eddie and Venom reunite and confront Carnage while Cletus attempts to complete his revenge against the journalist.

In the final confrontation, Venom defeats and consumes Carnage, while Cletus is killed. Eddie and Venom leave the city together, having fully embraced their partnership. During a subsequent vacation, however, an unexplained phenomenon transports them into another reality, where they see a television report identifying Peter Parker as Spider-Man, establishing a connection with the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Venom: The Last Dance (2024) - AMAZON PRIME

PLOT

Following the events of the previous films, Eddie and Venom remain on the run while attempting to escape the consequences of their existence together. Their situation becomes increasingly dangerous when they are pursued by human forces seeking to capture and study symbiotes, as well as by creatures known as Xenophages, predators that hunt the alien organisms.

As their journey unfolds, Eddie and Venom discover that their bond carries consequences far greater than they had understood. Venom's existence is connected to Knull, the creator of the symbiotes, an ancient entity imprisoned and seeking to recover the means necessary to escape his confinement. Eddie and Venom therefore become caught in a conflict extending far beyond their own survival.

Their escape eventually brings them into contact with a facility where symbiotes are being studied, while other characters become involved in the effort to understand the origins of these organisms and why certain symbiotes are particularly important to Knull's plans.

As the threat intensifies, Eddie and Venom are forced to confront the Xenophages and the larger danger represented by Knull. Their survival ultimately depends upon a decision that could determine the fate of both the symbiotes and humanity. The final confrontation forces Eddie and Venom to face the possibility that remaining together may no longer be possible.

In the climax, Venom sacrifices himself to prevent the Xenophages from obtaining what they need and to stop Knull from being freed. Eddie survives, but loses the companion with whom he had shared his life. Small remnants of the symbiote remain, leaving open the possibility that its species may continue, while Eddie Brock and Venom's story reaches its conclusion as the final chapter of the trilogy.
